I'm sorry - don't know what constitutes 'British' food, just know I found crumpets at the Giant Eagle on Snow Road in Brook Park [suburb of Cleveland] Ohio, for most of the 20 yrs I lived there. :(
I'll keep my peepers peeled at other stores, now.

Inside Giant Eagle they have an aisle dedicated to Foreign foods - one section in all, bar this one today, Giant Eagles I have visited have had a Bristish Food section.

Definitely going to the one you mentioned when we are nearer to Cleveland :D

As you may, or not, know the wedding of Prince William to Miss Kate Middleton is all set for April 29 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London.

What is amazing me is the number of Americans who are as gooey about all this pomp & ceremony as we Brits are :D

We are gaining a Princess, but what makes it so interesting for Americans do you think?
Don't ya'll have some kinda food over there called bangors and mash? Isn't it like Mashed potatos and sausage or something??? LOL....I hope we can balance the deficit before I worry about royal weddings. But if there is anything secret about it I'm sure Wikileaks won't have a problem letting everyone know....LOL

:D That is just too funny LOL :p

BanErs & Mash is an old time favourite. Yes it is sausage and mashed potatoes.
The sausages are usually the large, thicker link sausage.

:D
