When I saw this, I got excited, a new Police record!
Well, it’s not “new”, but it’s also not a Greatest Hits record as well. It’s a “B” side record.
I listened to the record before I read about it, and at first I thought the Police had a new singer. Imo, the Earliest songs on this record are the strongest, because they feel the freshest. They are Early Punk Rock Police. As the record goes on, you hear the songs becoming more elaborate. You hear a Andy Summers instrumental, and you hear the iconic Police sound developing.
All in all, I enjoyed the album, but I can’t say there are any big “stand out” songs. It’s B songs, so it’s really suited to the dedicated Police fans.
Of course, that’s just my opinion. Give it a listen if you have Apple Music/etc.
