I see the obsession with Beck continues!
If he bothers you sooo much, why waste your time watching, or listening to him?

Soooo....what did you think of the article? Do you agree with Mr. Wehner's article that Beck is a hinderence to the Conservatives? Is Beck doing a service or disservice to the Republican party?

I think he feels its his duty to keep everyone informed and to "protect" us from Beck, the ENTERTAINER...

But it is all good, I mean he does get his "news" from some places most never go to....that in itself sayes something....

And then there is the "well informed" stand point...the more info you have , the easier it is to make desicion....but then Beck doesn't have much of an affect on my life, well not that I know of....:)

I wonder, do liberals know what an OFF BUTTON is used for? When I don't like something, I turn it off!! Decided whether or not I like something seldom takes more than 4 or 5 minutes. It has NEVER taken years. Strange concept. Complain about Beck (or insert any other entertainer that you don't like) daily, watch him daily and continue to watch just so you have more to complain about. TRY THE OFF BUTTON!! It will free you up to do more than watch TV and complain about it all the time!! :p

If Beck is going to continue to rumble around your head this way, I'd consider charging rent......no one should live rent-free for this long and get away with it.

"Most disturbing TV personality? .... that's a tough one."

Naw, this one is EASY.

The most disturbing TV personality in the U.S. is Obama!! I ALWAYS use the OFF button when that goober is speaking! :D

Beck is certainly not the most disturbing. It takes a real PRO (Pelosi/Reid/Obama) to be most disturbing. Beck is possibly the most annoying though.

I don't think Beck does anyone a disservice OR a service. He is ONLY an entertainer, has no power and does not speak for anyone but himself. Those who feel like him already agree with and will not change their minds. Those who disagree with him already don't like him and will not change their minds. It is a total wash in my book. "X" number of people watch him to enjoy him and "X" number of people watch him to get mad. Simple.

I didn't read the article and agree with Joe...Beck is an entertainer, if anyone allows his opinions to sway theirs, then they deserve what they get......

But i will ask you this, if all beck is putting out is mis-information about people, telling lies and just plain slandering people (george soros, van jones, frances fox piven and numerous progressive groups comes to mind) why hasn't he been sued?? I mean soros can certainly afford to bury Beck in court cost with endless litigation....

It's probably a tie between Chris "screwball" Mathews and this guy," Looney" Larry O'donnell. MSNBC

The bottom line is the simple fact that Beck has a LOT of viewers - WAY MORE than anyone else in his time slot. That in itself tells us that he is doing a service for the GOP by mobilizing voters. I'm not sure that very many people outside the radical left accept Wehner's premise that Beck is a "disturbing" personality anyway - it's simply his "act" that sets him apart from the other talking heads the way Jim Kramer's hysterics make him distinct. For anyone who happens to be interested in numbers and plain old facts, here's the Nielsen ratings from March 2:

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/03/03/cable-news-ratings-for-wednesday-march-2-2011/84535

Also, you'll notice that Fox News is number one in every single category by huge margins - number two isn't even close. Notice in the ratings above, the 2d rated show in the 5PM slot is Hardball, with the liberal nitwit Chris Matthews who is every bit as obnoxious as Beck. Wonder if Wehner thinks Matthews is doing a disservice to the Democrats - especially considering his audience is only 1/3 that of Glenn Beck?

With that logic, you can say there are less Left-Wing idiots out there than Right-Wing idiots, not something I would be proud of.

Also, it is appropriate to compare and contrast FoxNews Channel and MSNBC, because they are the same, just at different ends of the spectrum. I do not see anyone here in the Soapbox defending MSNBC, only FoxNews, that speaks volumes.

This next election is going to be part of the "BIG BANG THEORY". The TV ads are going to be three times what the last one was. I'm sick of looking at the smug look. I used to watch the news a lot and I mean a lot and I had to stop or my BP was going through the roof. I would rather have SNOOPY for President than NUMB NUTS.:mad:

I still say Oprah is the most disturbing person on TV.

She is going to do her show in Cairo.

If you consider them all to be idiots - that's your judgment call. But if a high percentage of them are voters, advantage GOP.

All it says is that MSNBC has very few viewers in this forum, or at least very few that will admit to it.

You are right. She's another one. Ever watch her when a singer comes on her show and she starts carrying on in the audience? Makes you wander how she got her money.
