Of course, this action on O's part was largely a matter of ceremony and diplomatic style ... not substance ...

Now ... compare that with our resident GOP Likud-niks in the Senate - who could literally spare no effort to pledge their undying devotion to the State of Israel ... (which, largely for them, is a matter of substance ... not style ...)

At 60 (or more) votes the nomination is probably a foregone conclusion ... since a 3/5ths majority would exist to invoke cloture and end any filibuster of the nomination ...
