The Future of Package Delivery (and Expediting?)

I want a drone that can scout the road ahead and warn me about traffic jams and chicken coops that are open. I'll settle for just the chicken coop version.

You don't have a CB? OK, I admit I don't have one either-- but traditionally these radios have been our "drones" warning us of just what you mention-- chicken coops, traffic jams and police speed traps, to name a few things.

I have one and I don't even bother installing it anymore. Between the idiots singing into it or making monkey noises or whatever that sound is supposed to be and all the other worthless stuff you hear it just doesn't seem worth it. And most of the time people don't bother to warn ya about speed traps anyway. I'm better off without one and concentrating on keeping my speed down.

On the evening news tonight was a story about the backlash against drones and in most citys people do not want drones flying, One woman who was on a beach sunbathing follwed the drone back to its PILOT who was a teenage boy taking video of Bikini clad Beach goers, She beat the crap outta the kid....another drone was flying over the crowd in LA after the Kings victory and taken out by someones Jacket, causing it to crash where it was stomped into BITS....another Hi Rise tenant was aghast when she walked out of her Bath NAKED and saw a drone outside her window with a HD Video camera.....Recently here in St Louis a Drone crashed very near one of the Corporations Upper Balconys when a gust of wind blew it into the building and it crashed onto the outdoor balcony and was siezed by the Corporate security....and this will go on, until they pass laws stating you must be a licensed pilot, have your tail numbers visible and be registerd with a Govt Agency.......I think well see Drones used for small stuff, but not in the numbers Amazon, Or Dominoes etc would like, the air would be filled with these TARGETS and yes they would be shot down....Illegally or not...Driverless vehicles are a LONGGGGG WAY off, Our Jobs arent going the way of the DODO bird anytime soon...

In my case for example we live about hundred and 50 miles from the nearest FedEx terminal... That is a 300 mile round-trip for a 5 pound box

All Fed ex has to do is open the door and toss the package out as they fly over, Don't worry, the quality will be unchanged.
Im yet to see undamaged air freight that I don't have to write exceptions on the paperwork.

I've hauled air freight out of some pretty low class operations.
I've yet to see a problem at any FedEx Express locations.
Of course, there're pretty well compensated and for the most part look like pretty cushy jobs.
