Does anyone have a hunch why that is? That is voting for someone who is way ahead in the polls ( Trump v Weld) and is a lock to win the primary?
Talking specifically about the high turnout in Republican primaries.
If they talk about the high turnout for Trump, they'll have to talk about the utter lack of enthusiasm in the low turnout for Democrats.

Without question. Yes, there are many, many democrats who want to damage Trump and see him fail more than they want to see America succeed and prosper. The laundry list of examples is well-known, long, and expansive. If it can be used against Trump, they're all for it. A recent example, just the other day in the NYT, it was suggested that COVID-19 be labeled the Trump Virus, because that way, if you get sick, you'll know who to blame. The economy tanking? YAY! because that hurts Trump. People getting infected with a coronavirus? YAY! because that hurts Trump.
They dont have to damage him, every time he grabs his phone and gets on twitter he does more damage to himself that all of the dems combined can manage to do. The sad part of it is that I agree with most of what he has done, I just cant believe this is who we elected to represent us to the rest of the world.
