You may have heard the rumors that Twitter, Facebook, Google and other tech information entities are biased against conservatives, and that they vigorously and emphatically deny any and all such allegations, despite their actions telling the exact opposite story.
There is a new entry into "we're not biased [even though we clearly are, ha! ha! ha!]" category.
Malwarebytes makes some realty good (and free) software that detects malware, viruses, PUPs and various other issues. They can be a little annoying because they intentionally flag as a virus, even though they know full well that it's not, certain types of software used in software piracy to defeat certain anti-piracy schemes. To the uneducated, when one of these "viruses" are discovered, they try to get you to believe you are mere seconds away from being mauled by a lion, a bear, and three tigers currently charging at your back, and you need to act, and act quickly, without any hesitation or thought, to allow Malwarebytes to delete forever the offending software, and to never ever let it grace the confines of your storage media again. And they make it far more difficult than is necessary to bypass the danger and allow the offending software to remain. Be that as it may...
They have a relatively new browser extension (FIrefox, Chrome, probably others) that alerts you to malware websites, those that engage in FAKE NEWS and conspiracy theories, and those that specialize in clickbait. After getting some questionable result regarding which sites are and are not flagged by the software, the Malwarebytes Staff gave this response (BOLD emphasis theirs, not mine):
Here's the problem with that ridiculous statement, and their subsequent replies after being pressed on the details. One, they refuse to name the source of their academic researchers, only saying that they might be proprietary and that the researchers are completely unbiased (which doesn't exist in any human being ever, but I digress).
But they also replied, "Again, Malwarebytes clickbait filtering is not politically motivated, blocking is purely based on behavior of questionable value."
But that's a lie, and they know it's a lie.
Skeptical researchers (skeptical researchers are the best kind) ran multiple extensive tests to see which sites get flagged and which do not, based on the criteria listed above. Tests run on liberal/progressive sites/domain list, including that bastion of clickbait, Buzzfeed, with zero sites being flagged as clickbait. What was particularly surprising was running the test on Antifa sites/domains; none of them were flagged, even organizations banned on major social media platforms were not flagged by the extension.
Yet below are the sites that are flagged as clickbait by the software. Clickbait, mind you. According to these unbiased researchers the Wall Street Journal is clickbait. I post the Top 100 for your amusement.

Chris Cuomo from Fake News CNN apparently knew the sex lives of all the students at Yale, because he went there and it's a small school.

A new woman has come forward with more allegations. Apparently Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to her frequently, and sometimes even peed on her, and then laughed about it. Happened every time she changed his diaper when she babysat.
And still another woman says that in 1972 Kavanaugh inappropriately groped her Barbie doll. They were drinking a lot of Kool-Aid and she was in a sugar high fog, but she's positive it was him.

To apply those standards to past behavior is idiotic. I don't think what some kid did in middle school, high school or college defines who that 40, 50 or 60 year old IS today.

Well, we know the hippocampus isn't even fully formed until about age 25, so we think very differently in our teens and early twenties than we do even in out late twenties, much less in our fifties.

And by "article," I mean an entire article, the whole thing. Research was done (OK, half-assed research, but it was done), questions were asked, quotes ere printed. It's almost like the "journalist" and his editor thinks it's a serious piece.
