To go after home schoolers? Scary thought, I can think of no valid reason for the Dept of Ed to have firearms of any kind.

A 14" pull is a 14 barrel...this is a "entry weapon" swat teams carry them....

Looks like "skipping school" just pretty dangerous...:eek:

I would love find out why that agency needs weapons that law abiding citizens are not allowed to have. Why in the world would they need them? Better yet, why do they even exist? There is no need for them and even less need for them to be armed.

This is interesting;

Place of Delivery:
U.S. Department of Education
Office of Inspector General
c/o: Gary Pawlak, Special Agent
500 West Madison Street - Suite 1414
Chicago, IL 60661

Maybe some of you who have good relations with your representatives should ask them.

Length of Pull refers to the length measured from the front edge of the trigger (face) to the center, of the rear face of the recoil pad/butt stock.

It is often used when buying a youth/ladies gun or for some taller long armed men as an example. Or if you are more than just a "hobby" shooter.

Maybe they are going to arm teachers in Chicago? I might be able to understand that!! :eek:

Really wasn't thinking about 'armed' janitors. :D

Just the "LOP" Length of Pull. :cool:

You are right on the technical "LOP" measurement Jim, and in this case, i am pretty sure you are right because of the way it appears on the "order". Also On the LEO version of the Remington 870, the barrel length is from 10" to 30" and often times the LOP in the terminology of the "Avg Joe" is "also" use to describe the barrel length as well as the "action length" of the of the "pump stroke"....
