The Brian Williams saga.

75 posts and still no one has brought up even the possibility that the liberal cable networks have their own equivalents of loudmouthed, outrageous, factually-challenged hosts. But what about Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman, Ed Shultz, Al Sharpton - maybe there are others. It's hard to tell due to their insignificant viewership and ratings.

Maybe because intelligent people who want to [at least try] to absorb and understand events don't rely on cable or video for most of their knowledge.
Also, because there's just one network that proclaims it's "Fair & Balanced" when it's obviously neither.

It doesn't matter much if you get your news on, tv, on the internet or via print medium they all have a bias.

For me personally I find the more I check out from the whole mess the better my mood is.

I think it does matter, because tv/video doesn't give one time to absorb what they're hearing, to question it, or to check the sources & quotes. Reading allows one to do that, and to see the degree of bias.

That is why they aren't mentioned because no one watches.
That's exactly it. Liberals, by and large, don't much care to watch loudmouthed, outrageous, factually-challenged hosts, at least certainly not in the overwhelming, massively ginormous numbers in which conservatives do. Conservatives frothily lap that stuff up. Liberals, not so much.

Incidentally, Keith Olbermann is back at ESPN, mostly insulting Penn State students.

In the effort of MSNBC to move away from opinion programming to unimpassioned hard news journalism, Brian Williams will add a much needed gravitas and legitimacy to the network.

(was tough to type that without laughing)
