If you have just dropped off a load in cargovanland, and you are about mid way between Louisville and Indianapolis, assuming your company had a "Board", (new word I just learned) in Louisville and Indy, can you call dispatch and find out how many units are above you? If you head for either, when are you actually on the board? :+

With FDX a bed card is a Qual Comm message that you send saying you are available in that particular area. There are geographical limitations ususally 25 miles from the main city is acceptable.

I know at Panther trucks available and inbound trucks are available via QC. You do have to call to find out if they are teams or solos.

Dear OldProf:
You and I may have much in common.
I'm a professor of business.
My wife and I also have done much trucking -- in expediting and in electronics and other high-value products.
We'll probably return to expediting next June -- on a D truck of our own -- at the end of this school year.
We'll gladly serve as mentors for you.
Please contact me at DocRushing "at" hotmail.com.
(The server slices off a character when I try to use the "at" sign.)
Best wishes,
Doc.
