I don't know how many of you have tried them out, but these Blackberry's are an awsome tool for this business. I've saved enough money in fuel, just by using the addictive little crackberry to check prices,to justify the price. Plus I can keep up wit EO, sports scores, e-mails, do my banking, and pay my bills. Plus I can just do my recreational web surfing. I don't know how I got by without it, oh yea, its a cell phone too. Ain't technology grand

Blackberrys?

I have to tell you that RIM should have been shut down.

I used to deal with the “I am more important than you attitude†with these blackberry people while working at my last job and if you didn’t have a blackberry you weren’t acceptable.

I can not tell you how it feels to deal with this.

They maybe useful and the technology is something else but…..

It is hard to be a blackberryless peasants.

Maybe the supreme beings of the Blackberry universe will bestow upon us a blessing of one in the future.

We keep sacrificing our palm pilots on the alter of the great keyboard with the hope they reconginize our effort to please them.

Bow to the great RIM preist.

Seriously I really don't know what I would do with one if I had one. You know the sad thing is just before I was laid off, the company put a stop to using them at our location as a cost cutting effort to shore up their 38% profit margin and about 3000 of them landed on the docks of our envorimental recyle department to be shreaded, yes shreaded. we were offered a few for free but after being told you would be laid off - it didn't seem enough to have one.

glad someone likes them

FTP:

I am lost among the crowd of Blackberryless peasant expediters, and have seen, but never considered using the device, as it appeared to not be cost effective in terms of benefit to be derived therefrom.

So, what's a peasant to do, and what's a peasant expected to pay for the basic device and the services you described?

I got mine thru Verizon, it was on sale for 199.00 , it added about 60.00 a month to my phone bill (phone service added to existing account 10.00 , unlimited data service 50.00) when we bought it we were in the straight truck and burning a lot of fuel, using the Blackberry I can compare fuel prices at different stations as well as from state to state, savings add up pretty quick. But to be totally honest I am just a gadget junkie who spends a lot of his down time on the Internet, with this thing I can keep a little normalcy in my routine and unwind after a shift. And in the Kingdom FTP my comfort is crucial.
