This is going to sound really dumb but if everyone recommends getting a Davco unit, what is hanging on my frame near the right front wheel?

I haven't checked on it today but I think it has the coolant lines with fuel lines.

If it has a clear dome with a filter inside and a cap on top it's a Davco.

If you have a Freightliner, they usually mount the air driers in front of the right front wheel just behind the bumper.

Below is a typical Davco.

Piper,
Thanks for the reply, it's not an air dryer it is the fuel filter/heater. I think it is a Davco OEM filter like the 225 or something like that, but I never do much to it except replace filter and drain it.

I was being dumb for a point of illustration. A lot of people don't know what it is and or how it works. I get this all the time "you have no fuel in your fuel filter, we can replace it for you at $65." But every time I go for an oil change they don't change that filter and then they tell me that they can't which is why I am now doing my own oil changes. It really helps a lot and I have had no problems with water and no problems with frozen fuel...yet.
