Carl:

If I were to call you a thief, a bast*** and a parasitic crumb, without explaining my rationale for such name calling, would you consider my comments inflammatory? That is exactly what was said in the thread started by Raynchk.

As you well know, he was invited to post the facts upon which he based his comments, and after a couple of hours passed the thread was removed as being inappropriate because of the unsubstantiated inflammatory comments. Raynchk has returned to the forum and has explaind his comments were neither well writen or thought out at the time and he has now explained the problems he is having with Panther. Now that the source of his discontent has been brought forth, it is possible that one of the Panther Council members, or even a Panther employee (many of whom read these forums) will contact Raynchk and help him resolve the issues he addressed.

For the record, many of us, forum members and moderators alike, are proud to be affiliated with our respective carriers. We speak highly of them, not because they are sponsoring the EO website and other EO media, but because they are each the best carrier for our specific need and desires.

With regard to the sponsoring carriers and vendors. Most, if not all, check this site every business day. They do so because the positive AND negative comments are valuable to their decision making process. They desire our input which is only useful if our comments are based on fact and not heated, inflammatory, baseless comments.

Finally, I do not think that Carl or Panther are thieves, a bast***s nor parasitic crumbs. I was just hoping to make a point that is understood.

As usual, well done Terry.

As to this suggestion:

"I propose an Expediters Organization that deals specifically with expedite drivers, perhaps similar to OOIDA. I would certainly be willing to pay a membership fee. Maybe the owner of Expediters ONline would be interested in facilitating such an organization?"

I'd like to say that I see no need for such an organization. The problems that plague trucking in general are the same problems that affect expediters. OOIDA, like it or not, is where our organizational concentration should be. It could be said that we already HAVE an organization that deals with expediting specifics....it's called EO!!!

Thanks again Lawrence for the opportunities that you've provided here.

Silver Dollar: Mod affliates

2 mods are with FedexCC
1 mod had a long term relationship with Fedexcc
2 mods are with Panther
1 mod is with LEA
1 mod is with a smaller carrier Polly Express
1 admin had a relationship with Fedexcc
2 members of the EO staff had relationships with Fdexcc

So I think there is a broad range of carriers,no one from FedexCC ever held my hand and I had a long and seccessfull career with them.

I will attempt to help you with regards to terminating your contract. First, read your contract so you understand the length of time for charges related to decals and the return of your escrow. It is all spelled out in there.
Secondly, if your cell phone minutes are limited, use a house or pay phone and call via the 800 number.
Your first call should be to Beverly @ ext. 3722
She can look at dates and deductions to simplify the process.
Additionally, she can forward you to the correct party with regards to returning your QC and any other remaining issues.
You can always drop me a PM and I will try to help you.
It is a pretty basic process once the emotions are taken out.

I got a really dumb question so here goes;

I hear this $200 decal removal fee and wonder what if you remove them yourself, is there still a $200 fee?

It is for the cost of the decals if you terminate your contract early.
I believe the first six months. It isn't for them to perform the actual removal of them.

Gee, I think he still said that he thinks PII sux, but in a much nicer way. And then he said in detail why. The post stayed, and was answered with offers to help from those nasty mods.

So panther charges you for the advertizing of there business on your van or truck. Ya gotta love a company that can pull that off.

Fast, you know as well as anyone else that most larger companys charge for decals. Most of the smaller ones give them away, untill they get tired of people leaving after three or four weeks because someone was mean to them. But good try at stiring the pot a little more.

No I did not know that. And I am not trying to stir the pot, I just call it as I see it. I do know that a van that does not haul hasmat requires no identification at all. I am not sure but I think a 10,001 pound and up truck is only required name, city, state, and us dot number somewhere on the cab. So, outside of on the cab doors on a 10,001 pound and up truck, having panther or any company name decals and 800 numbers plastered all over the van or truck is only for company advertizing.

Panther didn't charge me for decals. In fact they either paid me $100 or waived a $100 removal fee because I removed the existing decals all by myself.

It was a 200 dollar charge for the decals if you terminate your contract in the first 6 months. Does panther pay you extra for having the decals on your van like fedex cc does?

Carl I'm GLAD you can Back that up. Okay It may not cost that much. But your not looking at the whole cost of this site. When Mr Mc Cord travels to Truck shows like the one in Dallas and sets up a booth their. Do you think they don't charge him for the booth. Mr. Mc Cord also has the cost of staying in a hotel and so on. And that is FACTS. So yea there is alot of cost to promote this site. Now Carl If you don't think there is alot of costs. I'm sure Lawrence would be more than happy to let you pay the small bill of the Roberts Convetion Center that EO had to pay for the Expedite Expo this year.

Even if this site makes money on everything it does. Isn't that what people do, go into a business to make money. This site is a tool for us in this business to use and it is free for us. EO has customers like FedEx, Panther, Tri-State, and many others that pays EO to advertise on here. So if a post is really getting out of hand about one of their customers, Yea they have the right to remove the post. We don't pay EO anything to use the site, so if they lose their customers because of FLAMED posts and dont have enough money to keep the site up and running. Who is the loser in the long run, all the owners and drivers. I remember when Lawrence first started this site so time ago. He was doing this and still driving a cargo Van with Roberts Express. That is my point, You should be thankful that Lawrence Mc Cord started this site so people like you and me can look for Drivers/Trucks and even different companies if we aren't happy with the one we are leased too.

yes, they pay us $0.50 per mile for unpaid miles if you have the largest decals. those decals must be displayed without any cuting. those decals are 120 feet long. so far we are the only truck with those decals.
