for four months. I just found out that a credit card company put
bogus info on my credit report and droped me from a AAA credit score
to the bottom. I hadt o file a law suit to clear it up.
Now the company says their sorry. My banker says it can take four
months to get it off the credit report. Three months ago I
was aprroved for 140,000. Now I CAN'T even by a Pop up camper
much less a Class D truck. Oh well the rich get richer. lol.

I know how that credit report stuff goes. We have a bunch of wrong info on ours that is preventing us from buying anything. The biggest thing on there is the wrong stuff placed by MBCC (Freightliner)

I haven't followed any of your previous posts, but the first thing that came to my small mind was, this would be an excellant time to go work for someone else, while you wait for things to get straightened out. Try to work for someone that is leased to the same company you were planning on going with (This is good advice for anyone considering buying a truck) It is great to be approved for up to a 140k loan, but what ever you spend, you need the real world knowledge of what YOU can generate as far income to pay for it.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I think Olko has some great advice. This would be a great time to get out there and run a unit for someone else.

it looks like to me housworth is worse than hauling for free. i wouldn't recommend this to anyone no matter what!!!! they charge 40% per month of your earned income. so if you worked your a#* off that month and made 8,000 bucks before fuel you would be left with 3200 to them and 4800 to you to pay fuel and tolls and all the other expenses of running a truck. i say find someone to work for. don't slave for a rental unit. oh man if i woulda only thought up this scam.x(

It looks like that is all the operator has to pay (Fuel & Tolls), the rest is covered by them via these service accounts:

Freightliner
Speedco
Blue Beacon
and COMDATA account for disbursing funds

This program is for those who can't get financing elsewhere and after the program...you get to keep the truck. So it is very similar to the typical sub-contactor agreements...but you get a truck to boot.

Their program is not everyone, but for those who use it I have heard only good things.

I took a look at Ed!s web page and it doesn!t sound too bad to me.Remember he is putting up the down payment,making the monthly payment and paying insurance plus maintenance etc. Maintenance can be very costly. If the truck grossed $10k a month you would have $6200 to cover fuel plus tolls. If you drove 9000 miles at 10 mpg with a average cost of $1.15 per gallon it would cost $1035 leaving you with $5165. Tolls can vary but if time permits can sometimes be avoided but lets say they come to $75.00 per month,this now leaves you with $5090 and no headaches or worries. Big plus is you can exit the contract with 30 days notice,big minus is he wants 90% availability.I think it!s a good way for someone to try out this lifestyle without a major investment. I have know several contractors do this with E unit tractor setups ,but usually give the drivers 75% of the revenue but the drivers pay everything but insurance, this includes truck payments plus all maintenance. But when the tractor is paid for the drivers can purchase it for a very small amount,therefore they keep the maintenance up,drive in a conserative manner etc.
