On Johns' note I hope you all take time from your festivities to remember our servicemen and women who died and who will die in the defense of your right to critize them.
So put down your fishin pole, put down your burger flipper, put down your beer and pause for a small prayer for all those who gave and will give to protect our rights and liberty's that we sometimes take for granted. Amen!

. On a serious note, thoughts and prayers to those who served and did not come home. As for the poster who suggests that we have a right to critize our troops, I strongly disagree. The right to free speech does not give one the right to scream fire in a theater nor the right to critize our troops. Walk a mile in their boots...

Walk a mile in their boots...Having been in during the buildup of Vietnam, I know all too well the sacrifices that our service men have made. I still keep in touch with the families of my MIA and deceased squaudron fliers and offer my prayers to their families along with my assistance when needed.
It is too easy for our young people to overlook these sacrifices.
Not even many of our elected officials remember past conflicts and the losses that our young people who accepted the draft to serve made.
Really think in your pause this weekend to imagine what this country would be if we had not made these sacrifices.
I will be carrying the wreath this year to place on the local tomb of the unkown soldier. I hope that others will pause to reflect on their rights as citizens of the most admired country in all history.

This weekend, while I am with most of my family, my oldest brother will be in DC for the Memorial Day service. I am very thankful that he came home from Vietnam.
Each night when I say my prayers, I always pray for our troops and their families.
God Bless each and everyone of them.
