Temprature changes in one day

I kept meaning to post this and now my brain is working.

Two Friday's ago I departed Tulsa, O.K. 94 that early afternoon by the time I got to N.M. early, early the next morning 38. I realize in the winter it can change by larger #s that was steaming hot to WOW wear did I put that jacket, in my closet back home. Thank goodness for Tony Stewarts Sweat Shirt, good for something this year anyway.

Several years ago, I was coming out of Van Nuys, CA, which is in the Valley. It was August, and the temp was about 110 in the early afternoon. Came just twenty miles south down the hill on the 405 freeway to Santa Monica, only to find that fog had rolled in and the temps were in the upper 50s. It was STILL in the early afternoon. Glad I had my leather jacket close by.

Maybe this is off topic.

Well today I started to load my winter gear in my truck.

I ended up washing all my cloths anyway and after two hours of this, I realize how much I was carrying - can't believe I could have so much in my truck.

A couple of years ago we came through Indio Ca. The outside temperature was 129,every time I tried to go over 50mph the engine temp gauge would go right into the red. Next day we were climbing Raton Pass near Trinidad Colorado and the outside temp was 23. 106 degrees difference in less then 24 hours.

Earlier this year we had to chain going over Donner and then spent the afternoon in Gilroy CA in our shorts. This time of year is starting to get like that where we have every outfit imaginable in the truck. Takes up lots of room but you never know.

One day last winter we picked up a load of explosives in North Bay, Ontario where the temperature was hovering around 30 degrees.

Along the way from there to Radisson the temperature steadily dropped until it finally bottomed out at -55 degrees. I didn't want to think about having the wind chill factored in.

You guys are giving me frozen flashbacks....

I'll never forget the first truck I drove, the guy didn't give me a lot of preparatory info... basically threw me the keys and said have fun... after leaving in warm weather, and then ending up with a gelled up truck in -20 windchill, with basically a t-shirt and a flannel shirt... I learned quick what to have in that truck!

I swore I'd never complain about being too hot again..LOL.
