If you are still thinking about a Class A license, I'll share this for your information. Dakota County Technical College in Rosemont, Minnesota hosts one of the best truck driving schools in the nation. It's programs, insructors, and wheel time are second to none. That's from big rig drivers who have completd the program and big-fleet higher ups.
They provide the trucks with which to take your Class A road tests. Because of its depth, the longer program not only gives you a Class A license but college credits too.

They used to offer an accelerated five week program that got you your Class A license. I don't see it on their web site. It did not give college credits but if a shorter program is of more interest to you, you might want to ask the school staff about it.
