Ok,I have been reading on here and elsewhere and this sounds like where I'am headed. The place where I work now has gone O/O so we buy the trucks and made a killing then Bam! there goes the contracts, so now it is a little here little there.

So how are you paid by mile or percent,do I keep my truck or trade it in,do you need a sleeper,should I get my own authority or sign up with someone. Go left go right go back to bed?

Read back at least one year in the general, newbies and recruiter forums. That should give you enough information to ask more specific questions rather than the more generalized ones here. You have to be able to go out for extended periods so you much have a sleeper. Good luck in your research but nobody can talk you in or out. You have to research enough to make that decision.

Oh sure where was you when I was stuck in Charlotte for a week first out bored to death could of not only told you all about expedite but showed you my logs pro’s etc. my current truck setup and how would do it different next time. Oh well seems like the way my year is going in wrong place at wrong time.

What year is your truck and type?

Sleeper yes need one if you don’t already have one think I know where you can get a nice used one.

Sitting in a little town called Eagle Bridge NY! Just north of Albany.

On the way up wondered why it was called that! got here in middle of the night and came across many side roads because had to back track about 5 times because of 10.5 over passes on state routes even! Any way as crossing the bridge in the very small town saw a metal eagle statue at the top of the Iron bridge so don’t think I have to ask why its got it’s name LOL very pretty up here today weather is great the view is fantastic but would like to be rolling though some one send me a load please?

Leo I didn't mean to talk talk me in to it more like a good kick to get me going.
Alvin it is just a local truck 24' box with a lift gate air ride 2000 Inter.
I think I'am going to get my own authority and hit the load boards and see if I can hold on and see if this company can get it together.
When they are working it is hard to beat last week I worked 3 days made 6 dels. per day about a hour each paid 125.00 per del.X18 dels.is 2250.00 home at 6oclock each day not bad but that was all for the month.
This month looked good Mon had to go to PA. and pick up 3 skids and take to Atlanta line haul was 4700 I get 60% plus 800.00 fuel surcharge made it to VA. before they caned the job.

Good thing the wife works
