TA Fuel Discount is no more

what I havce found, not all the TA's are giving cost plus, many are just doing retail minus, but the ones that show both, you get the best discount for the two different types.this discount is being put together by the company your leased to.each company has a different price for discount.you will find the ta's that your company frequents more often has a better discount program.I just came out of Oregon, the discounts out west have all been retail minus.not enough to brag about but still cheaper than flyting j or the rest,at least for me it's been that way

And you IFTA paying drivers out there, remember you always want to look at the fuel price excluding IFTA tax if you have the option of fueling in different states on a long run. Fuel where the net price (excluding IFTA) is the cheapest. Here is the site I use to look at this; TruckMiles.com - Daily Fuel Prices by ProMiles

The TA fuel price spreadsheet provided to Panther drivers does not show the IFTA tax, but rather the "flat" and "state" taxes which is basically useless.

i guess you have to look but i have not noticed more than a couple of pennies difference in price between t/a and p/fj at the ones we fuel at. when i take into account the 3 to 5/10 better fuel mileage i get with t/a fuel it seems to work out. i was solid flying j b4 the merger and would not believe i would get better mpg and never checked it but now that i boycott p/fj all together i have noticed a difference. we have fleet one for fuel only no extras dont need them and there is no transaction fee for fueling.

That was the complaint of the "hot fuel" issue and reason for OOIDA's unsuccessful lawsuit a few years ago . It was mentioned in several threads here nd members did acknowledge getting better mpg when they quit buying at Fkying J .

Our discount has still be very good at the TA's and we have no complaints. The discount has been like always some places we get a very good discount and at others the discount is only .04 cents.

We made the mistake of paying for a shower at the Pilot in Fort Worth, TX and we figured out quickly how the new TA shower heads have spoiled us. We will not make that mistake again. First we had to wait in line for a shower and then had a crappy shower with a thread bare towel and no floor mat.
Has anyone else heard about T/A and Petro coming out with a single card for both chains ? I usually don't fuel at T/A but have had repairs done at their shops . The people at the service desk advised me to get a rewards card to get bonus points from the repairs .
When I applied at the kiosk it told me I was already a member . When I called customer service they asked if I had a Petro card . They told me they would send me a Unicard that could be used at both chains and told me until I received it I could use the Petro card at T/A's .
