You adjust the rubber thing on the bottom of the door. You move it out so the vent shade doesn't touch when opened.

Its that curved thingie at the botttom of the door (see photo) left the hood and peek under the front corner of the cab. I appears to be help on with a cotter pin so I don't know about moving it but added another 1 or 2 should cure the problem.

Stainless bug gaurd arrived, gonna pick it up tomorrow. None too soon either, this weeks been an all out assault.

Just put on the Airtab bug deflector today. Can't wait to see how they work out. If I had a way to save my parking space I'd race around the parking lot a few times to see how they work. :D

Why do you have AIr Tabs on the top of the cab next to the airhorns? doesn't that break up the effect of the tabs with airflow?

That pix not at a great angle because I'm on the short side. :D Those Airtabs are actually on the roof of the Bentz sleeper, right where it levels off. There used to be a bug line on the front of the box. When I added the Airtabs there my mpg increased by 3/10 of a gallon. When I was in the last ice storm in Ohio, it was clear to see the airflow pattern. There was solid ice on the Airtabs and then it was clear up to the front of the box.

Well that's a cheap video card for you, I can't tell even looking at it again... thanks for the info.

So Gotta Go, do the air tabs work as a bug deflector? Enquiring minds want to know.
After a week of running with the Airtabs on my hood I can't say that they've made a big difference as a bug deflector. Hopefully one of these days I'll be running with someone else so we can compare our bug collections when we stop. I must admit that I haven't needed to clean my windshield all week, but I've played in quite a bit of rain.
I have noticed an improvement in the efficiency of my wipers. There has always been an area of the windshield where they skip off the window. This week that area is no longer there. I've been in everything from sprinkles to Friday's deluge. From what I understand that effect has to do with the airflow across the windshield.

I'd say one day running in warm sunny weather will tell you, my windshield is like a big magnet - must be something about the slope (or lack thereof) of the windshield/hood as the M2 was never this bad on its worst day. Funny thing is there seems to be more bugs on the US side of the border - CBP must be bee keeping (get it) them out. I've noticed a little about the wipers too - I installed new ones shortly after I got it becuase thee drivers side had a little 3" or so area that didn't always get wiped. But even with new ones on its still there - sits right about in the middle of the blade but only on the up sweep, coming back down its fine.

I was just working on installing the stainless bug guard (had to quit for the hockey game) so next week I should know how its working, if and by how much mileage drops the week after. I'm up to around 9.2/9.3 with an over geared RE, if the BG makes it drop then I think I will try those eco flaps to see if they cancel each other and perhaps put airtabs on the bug deflector.

As enthusiastic as I am about Airtabs, I would suggest checking with Contact Us: Airtab before putting them on your bug deflector. You'll find that they are very helpful and don't want you disappointed with your application of their product.
