I have to ask, when the "Tea Party" groups started to form a few years ago, they were laughed at and mocked. The left aid they were "astro turf"...they were not worth worrying about....they didnt represent the people they were crazy people...they wouldn't have any knd of impact on washington or anywhere else...

But now they are everything that is wrong in America, they are to blame for whatever isn't going as the left wants...S&P lowering the debt rating was all the Tea Partys fault....

Oh, and they are all racist and now the Tea Party wants to, Ill paraphrase, "see blacks hanging from trees".....Just how did the Tea Party go from joke grouup to such a powerful force??

Last week it was maxine waters, now its this piece of work...

Rep. Andre Carson: Tea Party Wants To See Black Americans 'Hanging On A Tree' | FoxNews.com

Democratic Rep. Andre Carson told a Miami crowd last week that the Tea Party movement would "love" to see black Americans "hanging on a tree."

The comment is the latest charged remark made by a member of the Congressional Black Caucus as lawmakers tour the country talking about jobs. Carson, D-Ind., lamented at the event that the Tea Party was stopping "change," in an effort he said was reminiscent of the "Jim Crow" era.

"Some of these folks in Congress right now would love to see us as second-class citizens," he said. "Some of them in Congress right now with this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me ... hanging on a tree."

The remarks were captured in a recording posted on YouTube. Carson spokesman Jason Tomcsi confirmed the congressman made the comment at a CBC jobs event -- he said Carson was prompted by "the frustration" voiced by people about the inability of Congress to lift up the economy.

"He believes that members of the Tea Party are ones that are standing in the way," Tomcsi told FoxNews.com. "He used the strong language because he believes that that agenda jeopardizes the most vulnerable."

The remark drew a rebuke from Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., the only black Republican in the Congressional Black Caucus, who said he's thinking about "reconsidering" his membership in the body in light of such comments.

"I think we should move away from using that type of language," West told Fox News, calling the remarks "reprehensible." He said some lawmakers are using the Tea Party as a "scapegoat" for broader problems.

This month, CBC member Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., also told a crowd that the "Tea Party can go straight to hell."

The only reason the guy even has the seat is because his mom had it for years. She did nothing and voted along party lines almost 100%. He really had no qualifications for the seat but the district he is in pretty much covers inner city Indy and guarantees a liberal win.

There is a LOT of racism in this country and it's primarily shown by and encouraged and commented upon by the racists themselves. Those who are called racist are not racist at all for the most part. The racists are primarily those who hyphenate and otherwise distinguish themselves in ways other than just American.

Suppose a Congressional White Caucus was organized - would that be objectionable? How about a Congressional Jewish Caucus...or Eskimo Caucus? The whole concept of one particular race having it's own caucus in Congress is racism in the extreme. The problem is that every time someone like this clown pops off it just makes them look worse. Why would any member of Congress want to be part of this organization? Alan West would do himself a favor by parting ways with this outfit.

All "protected classes" need to be done away with. The ONLY class should be American Citizens. This "race baiting" and stupidity need to end. Funny, it almost always seems to come from the Dumb-O-Crats. They have always been the party of hate and racism though out their history. Some things never change.

What I find funny is that this kind of talk is what most of the voters are tired of hearing. This is the kind of talk that will cost them vote from the independent voter that is tired of all the hate talk and will see them as the ones that dont want to truly work together with the other party. How long befor the voters say hey it is not just the Blacks that are having a hard time and from the way you are talking if im not black then you dont care about me?Its talk like this that will cost them votes in 2012.So for myself I hope we keep hearing it.

It is ironic that a leader of an exclusive group like the Congressional Black Caucus would play the race card. If David Duke, founder of the National Association for the Advancement of White People said something similar he would most certainly be labeled a racist. Which he is and so is Andre Carson!

It seems the groups labeled as minorities are often the most racist, not as an entire group perhaps but the more radical portion at least.
