Switching Back

Howdy Y'all, I am considering switching back to a company I was previously signed on with, I am wondering if anyone on here has done this and if there were any negatives to doing this such as, dispatch holding you leaving against you or anything along those lines and also since I was there before will I have to go thru orientation again? The company I am currently signed with does alot and I mean alot of short runs which on a percentage doesn't pay real well. Any info would be great. Thanks, Andy

Sure, you can switch back. There are more than a few of us who have done that. Just completely remove all decals with Goo-Gone or 3M adhesive remover- I hate that tacky oxidized shadow. You will have to get a new physical if it has been over 6 months? and new drug screen, and of course, re-start your escrow again and pay any up-front sat. install and decal costs. Make them give you a sign-on bonus of $500 to see how serious they are. One driver I know who was forced to move, said he loses $1000 every time he does it, but...if they have some work now, and can prove they will have enough when it supposedly will get busy, go for it. Forget about recruiters, unless they show you the loads they cannot cover in writing. Finally, talk to some other drivers who work for them. Dispatch? they just do their job, unless they play favorites. Good luck

Regarding taking off decals.....I've only changed companies once, but i've tried all the adhesive removers out there. The best one out there is GOOF OFF...it puts a whoopin on GOO GONE and all the others. Much less elbow grease is needed and also much faster. (just really stinky, thats all). It will remove all the adhesive, but you will still have that bright white paint against your sun-faded truck that will spell out your former company. This stuff works so good that when i got done with it and took it to the truck wash, the GOOF OFF whitened my box so much that i had to do the whole truck, or else i would have had a block of white paint where the decals had been and then the dingy, sun-faded part of the box. OK? good luck...by the way you can find this at WAL-MART.
