Leo what does it say about Swift? I was listening on XM understand they are having big Financial Woes stock way down and much more so than the rest of the industry.

Werner: Fact?? Understand they are in the plans on laying off 40-50% of the fleet. With the prices they are charging they are loosing $ ever seen one in a Truck Stop not Ideling? Just the Idle $ spent would put millions back in the business.

I have read on here over and over how these Giant companies can run profitable on just a penny a mile. I do not buy it, to cut it that close with all those Trucks and unexpected repair bills (and the way there trucks are maintained) they have got to have more than an average repair bill. Driver Abuse is not covered. You know like never Greasing a 5th Wheel, or how about checking the Coolant, Oil, PS, Steering Box Etc.. Or just popping the Rear End Lock while rolling down the road, Tires.

So when I hear of profitable on a penny a mile I just do not buy it.

Well Broom, JB hizzelf once said "if I make $50 per truck per year i'm happy".

Now, that fity bucks comes AFTER the high dollar managers, dispatchers, sales, purchases, fuel, drivers, repairs, new facilities, ALL THINGS are paid.

Then ya got 50 X 10,000, what a half mil, an all the bills are paid. I'd take it. An someone else is do'in the work.

I certainly wouldn't bother for only 1cpm net. I'm sure there are companies in trouble and before everything shakes out there will be more in trouble and perhaps a few will go under. I just wouldn't believe it until I hear it from the pen of Jeff Jensen or the mouth of Dave Nemo or the guys doing Landline Now.

Actually, I own one. And that is plenty for me. Took a long time for JB to get there, guess he deseved whatever shook out.

I hope ya got yer belt tightened up, that one cent, may be the thing to come for you dedicated tractor guys.

Jefferson this im my dog she is 10 yeras old I buy her in Spaine I lived in this country fod one year and becuase I was by swlf in Spaine and my husband was in Chicago , my kids missing dady and I buy this dog to thay are happy and have the dog around and not thniking so much about daddy , of course he comme to visit us every 2 months but we buy a dog and she is traveling dog.I like your so much

He is our only dog. He will be hitting the road with us soon. He's been on short trips in the past and doesn't seem to mind. My wife works from home so he is a great little companion for her during the day. he usually parks himself AND a half dozen toys under her desk.
