Couple of things:
Try tru-balance centering sleeves. Probably real close in price to the Equal, and eliminates wheels and brake drums that are out-of round on the studs. You can find them at just about any Bosselman's Boss Shop.
I second Phil's motion on McMahon tire in Fort Wayne. Top-notch folks. See Brent there. While I did not have any front-end work done there, I did meet a guy who's been going there religiously for 22 years for an annual alignment. He says he gets excellent fuel economy and tire life from McMahon's work.
I have searched high and low for a decent alignment shop. I have used two of the MD alignment shops recommended by Kevin Rutherford. One left me less-than-impressed, the other just plain sucked. I also had the truck aligned at the Sacramento 49er, where the tech there suggested heating and bending the front axle to achieve proper alignment. Um....no.
Lastly, after our most recent animal massacre, we took the truck into K&R truck in Holland, Michigan for our body work, and they use a viz-check machine for our front end inspection and alignment. They did bend the axle beam (cold). Best either of our trucks has gone down the road since we came into the business.
Last, we're seriously considering the Donvel bags......after the automatic chains, of course.
