Super Single Tire Pressure

I run 445/50R22.5 XDA Energy tires on my full tandem.
It weighs 21,000 lbs empty.
I seldom load over 2500 lbs.
I never load over 11,000 lbs.

If I read the Michelin Website right I should be running 85 lbs.

This doesn't seem right. Presently running 120 lbs.

Curious what others run for tire pressure and how they got that number.

Running at 85 seems low and that it would hurt MPG but the manufacturer is probably looking at tire wear only.

I would have thought the recommended tire pressure would be listed on the tire sidewall.

The sidewall lists pressure for maximum load rating.
The steers are rated 9,090 lbs at 130psi. 18,180 per axle.
I stay about 14,200 max which website says is 100 lbs. That seems reasonable. .
The tandem, maxed out at 32,000 divided by 4 tires shows 85 lbs which seems so wrong.

I'm phoning Michelin CS on Monday.

I'm running 115lbs on my Michelin XDN2's SS and 110 on my XZA3 steers.

My truck also has full tandems and weighs 33,500 with two drivers, 200+ gallons of fuel, 19 gallons of DEF, and all our gear.

Just got off the phone with Michelin CS.
He recommended 85 lbs. 95 lbs max.

Nice guy. Got the impression I he wouldn't know a truck tire if he tripped over it.

Would like to try 85lbs out of curiosity.
Love my tires, or really my hard earned dollars, too much to try it.

Might force my self to a truck show just to see some Michelin Reps face to face.
