If you had no more than 32' or so I would thing it would be a single axle trailer. If building it brand new I might look into putting the axle 3-4' forward from the rear to leave room for a tuck under liftgate, as well as further helping with turns. I believe the issue with pups is they respond more quickly to inputs so you have to practice to be smooth with it and to not overshoot your intended spots.
