I still did the same stupid thing too.....we always hope to hit the in and out lottery.....
I usually just go to Houston, but I still don't like the whole 350 miles of DH'ing on my own dime. I just have to remind myself, no más Laredo.
or try a load Laredo to Houston, San Ann or something like that on the cheap to cover your costs?

Today I celebrate a week of doing nothing. Just waiting for that phone to get a call from dispatch.
Changed the oil in the van late yesterday after it cooled off alittle ... went back into nursing home and paid a couple new bills ... 1/2 mile from pulling back in my driveway .... ring ring ... time to DH 90 miles ... 5 hours to get there ... update when loaded ..

Sad day today as I laid to rest my favorite headphones. After years of trying to keep them alive with first tinfoil (don't ask), then duct tape, they are finally beyond saving.
I tried to keep them on life support because they were the most comfortable headphones I've yet to find and sounded great. I've tried to find a replacement, but it seems they don't make them anymore. Even the high priced ones I've tried, have paled in comfort.
As I bid them farewell to the trash receptacle in the sky, I will always remember the joy they brought me
