suggestions for a small vacuum that works well

I need a small vacuum that works well for the truck. I've considered a dustbuster type but wonder if a plug in unit would have better performance. Unless I get a better idea will probably go with a Dirt Devil plug in model. Anyone have something they use and recommend? Thanks.

LDB,

I bought several of the 12 Volt Shop Vacs at Walmart for Christmas presents. They seem to work pretty well.

They're round and about 12" in diameter.

I bought a scorpian hand held vac at wal-mart about 18 months ago, lots of power and it works great! but you'll need an inverter to run it!

Hope this helps some.

Be careful out there!

We bought the little dustbuster type from a Flying J - my wife uses it religously. We tryed the small canister with the 'RoadPro' name on it, and it kept blowing the dust back out of the top - we returned it.

Then we got the Coleman 12V canister. We needed a hose model to suck the air out of our spacebags we use to store our clothes. It works pretty good, but we are going to get the Scorpion also for more power. I'm thinking it's like the Shark where they pick up a bowling ball.

Our biggest problem is loose stuff on the floor that we didn't know had fallen getting sucking up into the vacume. (Now what happened to that Canadian Customs Form we were looking for?) :D

We have a dirt-devil with all the attachments and rotating brush.
Inexpensive but worth every penny. Bought ours I believe at Wally World
