I guess I should add, that this is not a knock the company thread, after all they have to cover loads.

Try this one: Deliver on Sat in Zanesville OH, deadhead to New Cumberland PA for a Mon pick up. Take the load for a Tues delivery at Ft. Drum NY. The load is priced with all the bells and whistles a team can do for a load. It paid $00.95 per mile including FSC. Guess what, skipped that one. layoutshooter

Sounds kinda like my old Auto Quick days. They'd beep ya at O dark thirty, on a twenty below night in Detroit, for a 57 mile run to Canada that paid $57.50, and we didn't know what a FSC was. Then when you'd refuse it, they'd wait till you got snuggled back in real good, and beep ya again. And repeat the process untill ya had three refusals and put ya outa service for a couple days.

And I really do mean that this is not intended as a bash thread.

The Companys really do have loads they have to cover, just as we have loads we need to refuse.

Guys,
I turn down my share of loads, but if everything were perfect, every company would be overloaded with trucks.
there are short loads and long loads and loads that sound like short but spelled different, the company has to cover to stay in business, its not what you make per day but per month. If I figured my daily expenses to the load offers,I'd be on the phone to my lawyer, looking for a way out,and my hair would be snow white

I have a 200 mile minimun policy. It does not matter if it is only a 5 mile run, the rate quote is for 200 miles plus fuel surcharge.
