Where do you park your truck straight or semi, or bobtail when your at home, and do you get hassled.

I have friends that allow me to park at their gated business lot .
but there's nothing free when it is all said and done .
before that ,back in 2007 it was a deal breaker for me ,and one of the rezones i sold my trucks at the time .
there is now a boat/Rv storage place here in town ,for some fee ,if needed to be stored for a long time .
i once parked a bobtail at a regular storage place here for 2 months ,when i was overseas .
This is an ongoing issue in the area where i live ,normally i will fly over from C.A ,where i can leave the truck at the carrier terminal ,only 2 miles from the airport .
if i forced to leave the truck overnight at one of the nearby truckstops ,i make sure to spend some money at the truck stop while parked there .

I park at our property in Lake City, FL.
We have 7 acres and are so far in the country that the local post office and FedEx drivers can't even find us.:D

Our home in Minnesota is rented space in a relative's house. There is acreage there on which Diane and I were permitted by the relative to pour a concrete slab on which to park the truck. Water and electric is adjacent to the slab, which makes it nice for shore power, truck washing and water tank filling.

Our Florida vacation home is in a gated community that has a secure RV and boat storage area that is a short walk from the house. We rent a spot there. The space features a dump station and vehicle wash area. Shore power is not available but I am talking with management about having lines brought in. We can run the generator if electric is needed now.

We understand these are sweet deals compared to what many truckers have for their truck parking. Our truck parking solutions came about because we thought about parking our truck before we thought about where we would reside.

We park the truck in our driveway when we are home, and yes we have been hassled by the local gestapo.

There stance is that they can't do anything about us parking in our driveway, but they can cite us for going past the no trucks sign that is a little over a block away from us.

But to cite us for that offense, they have to see us do it. They actually have seen us do on more than one occasion but have yet to bring out the citation book. That is a good thing, as the charge would be ignoring a traffic control device...a 2 point violation.

I park at my home in a gravel area behind my house. Only complaint so far is from my wife. I have very nice neighbors and law has never stopped me. As far as I know, I am legal doing this in my city.

when i had my western star and other truck's i was able to park in driveway for 11 year's until they change the rules
then a friend let me park at his shop, in exchange i would call and asked as i'm coming home anything need pickup on way in

that is one reason i moved to a sprinter van as i'm able to park in driveway as it is under 14,000 lbs
