Maybe I am getting old or something but I thought there was a post about a million mile van?

Well I went to all the trouble of locking up MB's 2.6 million mile car and posted it to find the thread gone!

Was there a thread? Am I losing my mind? or should I just be very happy I am on vacation for the next two weeks?

don,t know about a million mile van however do know a driver with bolt express that has well over 900,000 miles i believe original transmission and everything he,s known as mr main event see article on this web site the last time i talked to him if i remember right which was a couple month ago he was somewhere over 930,000 miles and running strong

My 2003 GMC Savana 3500...560000 mi...no major repair
3 friends with Sprinters ..they change transmissions after 200000 and is around 3500 to 5500$

Yep. It's at about 955k and still being driven daily. My son started using it to haul his dirt bike to the races and decided to use it for his daily vehicle. At 18 mpg it's doing better that his 4x4 pick-up at about 13.

WOW!!! 955K. Outstanding!!

A few can take a lesson there. That's about TWO AND A HALF CENTS A MILE for ownership, figguring a 25K cost. Maybe just maybe, eighty cent a mile freight rate ain't too bad.

I know a guy with a million 3 on a 97 ford 6cyl gas,original motor don't recall about the trans panther trk 1169.I know 3 others with a mil on them but there diesels.

the truck would have to run 360 days out of the year at 830 miles a day without any breaks - 300,000 a year

Thanks Terry,i could have written it better.He uses mobile one full synthetic and idles alot,says starting is the worest thing for the engine.I told him he should contact the people at mobile or ford,i would think they might replace his motor for free so they could take the old one apart verify it's original and use in some type of marketing.
