Sounds like a real Manly thing to do. You must just a joy to be around. Hope you are big enough to take care of yourself, Acting like that might cause you some problems when you run into the wrong group of smokers................

I have been known to carry glade air freshener with me and if there are people stinking up the fresh outdoors where I have to pass by, I spray in front of me as I walk by them. I have had a few people say something to me about it and I just tell them that what I am doing smells a lot better than what they are doing. I have thought about spray farts also but then I would have to suffer more lol...

Well.........ok. I think the intent of the thread was something else. But.......based on your post, are we to also assume that you are prancing in pink through the truck parking lot spraying the idling vehicles with glade air freshener?

But ya gotta admit - it's pretty funny ..... someone going around spraying Glade to "freshen" the air .... needlessly releasing butane and propane ..... and Lord-knows-what-else into the air .... when all that is likely required in many instances to have a little fresh air would be to take a few steps in a different direction.
I suspect it is more about being "right" - and making others "wrong" for what they are doing, than it is anything else.
What I'm really wondering is how the visits to see dear old Mom and Dad go ......
I imagine that some here might find this funny (in that I'm a smoker) - I generally try to avoid the "stink" aisle in supermarket - you know - the one with all the detergents, soaps, and so-called "air fresheners" - the ones which attempt to imitate some sort of pleasant natural fragrance ..... with coal-tar and petro chemicals. Yuck.
Yes, I can still smell - and to me, they smell absolutely horrid - since they are merely a false substitute for the real thing (and a poor one at that)
Fortunately the wife is of a like mind (and no, she's not a smoker) - at home we use unscented detergent and fabric softener for the wash. And no, we don't use "Glade" .....

No, you're not sorry at all - the least you could do is actually be honest about it - if not with us, then at a minimum with yourself.

I am honest with myself and I don't have to be big enough to take care of myself. If someone attacks me, I will defend myself and he will go to jail where he should be. If you attack anyone other than self defense you should be punished. We are supposed to be civil society and if someone cant control themselves then they deserve to be in jail.
No I don't spray it at them, this is dangerous and that is also assault. I spray for me and usually people step away, if they don't I hold my breath and continue on. Some people have health issues and cant be around this smoke and I am one of them. I am not going be a hermit in my home because someone want to hurt themselves and those around them.
I gave my opinion on how I look at things, just like everyone else. If you want to say I wear pink dresses, etc... thats fine, thats what is great about an open forum. Being a part of a conversation and attacking/picking on someone is sort of childish. I am not going to stoop that that level and I am not going to say anymore than that about it. Continue if you will.

One thing that keeps crossing my mind is all you hear about is how second hand smoke is so bad. Yet smokers also are breathing in second hand smoke, so you would think that if they light one up they would just be falling over dead, yet most smoke for 30, 40 50, plus years and alot die of something other then a smoking related disease. As far as cancers go I believe your body is susceptible to it or not. You will get cancer or not. There have been cases of people getting lung cancer that have never smoked, and I can't believe it was just because they were at times around second hand smoke. I also agree the government has no right telling a business that they have to be smoke free, that should be up to the business owner as long as smoking is legal. If a restaurant has smoking, there is a restaurant that is smoke free. it should be a choice not something forced upon you. I had quit smoking for 3 months and yes I will agree when you don't smoke it stinks but I didn't find it intolerable, but by being a smoker I also realized that the smoker had the right to smoke if they wanted to. Also what non-smokers need to realize is how addicting smoking is, they say nicotine is more addictive then heroine and most if not all smokers could just put cigarettes down and never crave one again they would. Not only do they realize now that smoking isn't healthy ( most started young to be cool or whatever, just young and stupid.) But do you think they would be paying 5 to 6 dollars a pack if they didn't have to. Not very likely. And BTW after quitting for 3 months I am smoking again, but I'm not going to quit quitting. It's just alot harder then most non-smokers think it is. I even know someone who had quit for 17 years and said that he even has dreams where he is smoking.

Fr8 Shaker--I could not agree with you more. I am on the fence on the government part though. Although restaurants have non smoking sections, they many times put them in the back and you have to walk through the smoking section to get there. They also don't keep the maintenance up on the air purifiers in the building. Remember, just because I am in the non smoking sections doesn't mean I am free of the smoke. I get the same recirculated cold A/C blowing on me that the smokers do. If the government would approve the layout of the sections and strictly enforce air quality guidelines in the buildings, I would be all for that. If they wont do that, then I think they should be non smoking businesses. Smokers can go outside to smoke. Most places don't have a place for me to go out and eat. When they do, people are out there smoking. lol... Calgon take me away lol...

If you are going to light up, don't stand in front of the door, go to the other side of the parking lot. So many smokers are so upset about their rights and they don't think about the rights on the non-smokers. You can smoke all you want, and if you do it away from others, there will be less conflict.
We can all live together, just be respectful of others and their surroundings. I don't crank up my music in my car going down the road. I know others don't like my kind of music. I don't mow the yard at 8:00am on Sat/Sun even though it is legal. I know people like to sleep in after a long week. I didn't change to a loud exhaust on my car because I know others that do and it bothers me and wakes me up in the middle of the night, and I don't want to do that to others. We all on this planet together, lets give a little so we can get a little (No not that) lol...
