As far as Obama lying, I'm going to wager that you, and about 30 other people lol, will talk trash at this but that doesn't matter a great deal. Obama made a chess move. Politically he felt, correctly, that people would freak out about the idea of change and that would torpedo his bill. Does that make what he did right? I honestly don't know. We're all adults here and that's how the sausage is made. In a perfect world he could have told people the percentage chance they'd be better off, worse off and what percentage would break even. But if we lived in a perfect world Fox News and MSNBC wouldn't even exist.

If you were on the cusp of getting insurance that really is insurance for the same or less money than you're paying now would you be ticked off?

As to MY beliefs about it? I gave up ALL chances of retiring, to stay true to the Constitution. NOTHING, not even personal gain, is worth compromising one's principles for. One either has the courage of their convictions or that person is weak of mind, soul and spirit.

NO, we are NOT all adults. Adults PAY THEIR OWN WAY! They don't DEMAND that OTHER'S cover THEIR BILLS! Children need cared for and demand it.

Again, we had kids, WE paid the bills. When we needed health insurance, WE paid for it. We paid the doctor, OURSELVES. WE bought our own food, clothes, shoes, etc etc. NO ONE did it for US. That IS what responsible ADULTS to. Anything less is irresponsible and childish.

I believe in the most BASIS idea that we have an ABSOLUTE RIGHT to own private property and that wages ARE private property. NO ONE is ENTITLED to the wages that my wife and I were VERY HARD to earn. Charity is a FREELY GIVEN GIFT, what we have here is extortion, theft, robbery, etc etc.

That's probably due to the fact that most people that have done an analysis have concluded that for most people, the ACA means better coverage for the same money. A smaller number of people will get better coverage for even less money. For an even smaller number of people, it means better coverage for more money.

Apparently you fit into the last group and that truly sucks. But there are 330 million of us and sometimes what's better for most is what we have to do.

In a socialist context, I do agree. But in a liberty-based society, the freedom of the few reigns over the wants of the many.

Because many people, [especially older people], simply don't like change, period. They tend to get upset about changes, and go on sites and rant and shout in ALL CAPS so everyone can see how angry they are about the changes. Happens all the time.

Being a veteran, I signed up for my Va benefits over 20 years ago. Now days you do it on the website. If Obama wanted to do a sign up on his new healthcare thingy, why not copy the way the VA does their site and try it out on a test run,,,,You do not have to reinvent the wheel, just make a few adjustments to an old wheel and use the ideas for you new program.... I shall not charge anyone for this brilliant idea and no small dogs and cats where harmed in its making...

The LEAST expensive way to repair the problems with health care is get the government OUT of it. The feds got involved with retirement, that system is broke. The feds put in socialized medicine for seniors, that system is broke. The feds put in socialized medicine for the poor, that system is broke. The feds got involved with local education, costs went up, quality went down.

The feds want to tell industry what products to make, what wages to pay etc. The government is a complete failure, they are almost 17 TRILLION in debt and going deeper into debt with each passing minute. What makes them think that they can run a business? All evidence points to the fact that they cannot even run their nose when they have a cold.

I have written my state rep, state senator and the governor in a last ditch attempt to stave off the financial disaster that is being forced on us by Obama Care. I doubt that they can do much but I have to try. There is only a few weeks left and my wife will lose her coverage. It took an act by Democrats to outlaw our insurance to make it that my wife will not have coverage for the first time in 40 years. OR We can buy insurance and lose our house. May they rot in hell for what they have done.

Why do we have to pay for pediatric vision care, when we have no minor children, yet the plans we are being FORCED to buy do not have ADULT vision care, and it is "unclear" if they even cover cataract surgery, which people of our age are LIKELY to need? Nothing like paying for crap you don't need and not being able to get what you DO need. There goes my BP, AGAIN!
