What was this man thinking? The CEO of Starbucks instructed/encouraged his store employees to initiate conversations with patrons about race. Colossal failure. Stick to gouging customers on coffee. Race relations are so horrible under the Obama administration it would be wise to let passions cool for awhile.

I agree that it was a very bad idea, because real genuine conversations can't be forced. Not to mention that in the setting of a retail business, where others are waiting to be served, conversation is far from a a crowd pleaser.
I can't agree with dragging Obama into it, though. It's true that relations are not great, but it's been true since long ago. If it seems worse now, maybe that's because some of the media sensationalize the coverage, where they used to just ignore it.
