i talked to a fella from wisc who owns abr unit. he said that fedex mostly expects you to mine the opportunities, have the cust call fedex for your truck and take their cut. he also mentioned most of the work is on the east coast and that he has had to take some cc std loads to get back to his profitable frt lanes.
when i talked to fedex at expo last year they asked where i lived and who would be using the service. i was stunned. i would have thought they would have the info already if THEY are offering the service.
seems to me if you turn your customer over to them you might as well get the truck, the authority and the insurance and keep your customer.
maybe wait for expo and drill them directly.
80 grand is a lot to invest into a system that works in one direction only.
