Hello, I just bought a new 2005 Sprinter 2500 w/ the Sleeper conversion from Elkert, IN. I was told that I would get more work if I didnt have the sleeper. I really dont need the sleeper anyways. Just wondering how much I should ask if I slap it on Ebay. Maybe some of you could help me Price it. I want to get rid of it all. bed, cabnets, tv/DVD, inverter, Wall, fridge. That way I can get more money by taking three skids and getting the better rate. Also I think that means that I can carry 5k w/ out the sleepr. thanks [email protected]

Your payload capacity is less than 3700 pounds minus any added weight other than a driver and a full fuel tank. I suspect any additional revenue you might get for carrying more weight than design specifications allow would be offset by repair costs.

i probably get 2 loads a month that is 3 skids. which means extra money...and one load that is to high for a conventional van...which is extra money if they decide to pay it....i would keep the comforts,of the sleeper unit...it gets cold in the winter...

That's funny. I've been looking at Midway's Expediter conversion for a 2500 with 158". With the conversion you get 9' (roughly 2 skids) of available space. Seems like plenty to me. I was more concerned with the available height so I can carry taller loads (unlike in my current E250.) I don't see too many 3 skid loads come along so this particular conversion seems good to me.
