Sprinter DEF

[Perioodic]

According to my 2015 sprinter maintence booklet I should be refilling my DEF every 20k, what do you guys think about that? I top off my DEF every 1.5-2k miles and that's been good for me. Should I change do what the maintence booklet says or keep doing it my way?

I think every 5,000 would be fine. I do know shops that say don't let the low def light come on so keep that in mind. It used to be 10,000 in the book, big change.

I agree with don't let the light come on. Seems to cause the system to go bonkers!

Also buy it at a place that sale a lot of it, I bought some from a place didn't know it had a shelf life
And they didn't heat place when know one was in place or ac was so it got water in it
Cause a lot of problems

I say keep doing what your doing or go no longer than 5k like Xiggi said. I do mine on every fill up if it's a long run. If I've got short runs it's every other fill up. Don't let it run out or get low.

I always used to fill mine up at the end of or beginning of the week. Then I never forgot to fill it up.
