Cut the wheel wells, have the spring hangers changed to increase the height of the back end and then put rubber blocks to prevent the tired from hitting the wells.

Simple as that.

Oh, well, if we're talking SIMPLE solutions, that's another story! :p

It does seem simple, though I'd first verify how such a mod affects the warranty on a new vehicle.

If it is done at an official MB upfitters, it will not. If it is done by a shop who follows the MB upfitters guidelines for body modification and document what they did it will not.

If you do it in the backyard with a torch, some welding rod and a can of rustolium, then maybe it would if you cut the wiring or mess up the springs.

.....or cut the wells, put in the flat plate and get a set of firestone airbags to hold up the rear end.
