Speedco

Has anyone noticed the new- higher prices at Speedco? They usually charge $95 base for straight box trucks + any extra quarts. They have a new policy and now charge based on engine size. My last oil change was about 50 dollars higher than usual. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.

Full Service everything including a Pro-Heat and testing of the oil, $290.00 Perrysville, OH.

Get the same done at my local shop, about $180.00

My only response is OUCH next time I will ask for a quote first.

Sorry you got stiffed on the price at Speedco. I posted a message a month ago about this ridiculous charge at Speedco and was soundly blasted for expressing my concern for other D Units who would be surprised by the sudden price increase. We are having our oil changed elsewhere now. india

Our last SpeedCo oil change was 184.33. We always get an oil sample and Bob requests a certain type of filter. When he asked them about the prices he was told they are trying to once again regulate the prices on motors not the outside of the truck. We like the convenience of Speedco, the speed of Speedco, and usually the professionalism of Speedco. Waiting at the TA is just unbearable and a lot of the times their attitude reminds us to much of Freightliner dealerships!

The advantage of Speedco is speed. You can get an oil change without having to go out of service. I had my last service at the Cat dealer in Columbia, MO. and was satisfied with the service. It was a couple hundred dollars with oil analysis so it was an average cost. Based on all I've heard so far I'd be sure to get a quote from Speedco before pulling in again.

Just had an oil change at Speedco in Conley GA, the cost was $141.94.

Harrisburg PA $119.00 for Medium Duty Truck. Their prices are posted on the counter by truck size.
