Speedco Oil Change

It seems to me there should be a base rate plus $x per gallon after y gallons of oil. There's no difference in draining oil and tilting a hood forward and then back whether it's class 7 or 8, expediter or straight tractor.

My personal favorite quote from a speedco person at the Baytown, Tx location was "you have three axles" so your oil change costs more.

Poorjoe replied what does the third axle have to do with the amount of oil my truck takes? Guy said, "well that third axle makes it bigger truck than a normal straight truck." ???

Coco, why would you regularly get your brakes adjusted by T/A when you have self adjusting brakes? I would imagine that they are just going through the motions and charging you for doing absolutely nothing.

When it comes to my saftey, there is no such thing as self adjusting brakes just as there is no such thing as an unloaded gun.

Well, we just took our one truck into the SpeedCo in West Memphis Ark and was told that an Oil change on our truck was $229.00 plus tax for a truck that holds less than 24 qts. I even talked to the guy on the phone and he said he didn't care what someone from Corp said he can only go by what is here. I told him thank you and that we would go somewhere else. I think that all Expediter Trucks should boycott SpeedCo for them trying to rip off the little guy.

Do you know if the oil used was the new API CJ-4 oil? While I've not seen any announcements about it, I presume an oil price increase is coming with the new oil.
