Naps work really well for that...I went out and blowed a few piles of snow this morning and wound up hunkered down in my chair and had a fine one! Too much fresh air I guess.

Before I call anyone's posts rude I look at myself. How will a new person look at a post that is a joke but looks very rude? How will that post give anyone the confidence to post?
Example is a post I recently posted where OVM called it wordy and that Layoutshooter said it much better in less words. I pay no attention but as a new person what do they see?
I have been guilty of this in the past and it was pointed out to me how these comments look to lurkers.

OVM I understand i was replying to Jujubeans and her post on rude people.
We all can be perceived as being rude even when we are joking around with each other by someone who is lurking on the forums.

I made an observation about myself and that posts I have made in jest were not perceived in jest as the smile behind the words were not seen. One was directly pointed at you if you remember in the past. I have since learned FOR MYSELF to watch what i post key word is I...
What you do and how you post is your own business and post what you can live with as long as it does not overstep the boundaries

You better talk to another moderator and clue them in on this concept. It not only sounds reasonable but also level headed and rather has some common sense to it. Thank you.

Linda..one of the things I like best about this site is your common sense and courtesy. My "rude" comment was about the now banned dispatcher coming in here like he knew everything and blasting our most knowledgabe members.
I guess my question should have been...."Who's watching the hen house?"

I can't be the only one to notice the influx of these folks?
Rude people coming in and masquerading as dispatchers,
spammers..and other assorted advertisements? Maybe it's the slow season and people are just bored?
Your not alone. I remember about 100yrs ago when I had all the answers. Boy was I wrong.

THEY BANNED THE DISPATCHER? What are we to do now? Oh no, no one to help us and guide us. Help me, I'm fallen and I can't get up.

The beauty of this site is when one truly needs a helping hand...it'll be extended by many.
That is absolutely true and I have experienced it first hand. After some trial and error I found it's easier to ease into a spot in here rather than clear one with a bulldozer.
