Today I took and passed the exam for the next higher level of ham radio license. In a couple of months I'll be able to put a radio system in my truck that will allow me to literally talk around the world. Now the radio comparing and shopping begins in earnest.

Great ideas from everyone! When it's cold outside, like it is now, we usually sit and watch movies, read, play on the computer. I have also gotten my hubby into crosstitching (shhh don't tell anyone) :p ;) I also crotchet blankets that I give as gifts.

I will never forget a talk show I saw many years ago, the football player Rosey Grier was knitting or crocheting while he chatted with the host. It's pretty cool when you don't let stereotypes get in the way of doing what you'd like to do! :)

Ooohhh. I'm might like something like embroidery or crocheting if somebody could teach me. I'll have to ask my daughter or friend Brenda to get me a couple of beginner kits. I just might like that.

Congrats, Leo. Do you still have to know Morse Code to get a Ham license? I heard they were taking that out of the exam. Art Bell mentioned it a few weeks ago.
