We spent a weekend in Sandpoint a year or so ago. Loved the town, what little we could see of it, It rained, and rained, and rained, non-stop, the entire time we were there. I was happy for the locals, the ones I talked to said it had been a dry year and they needed it.

Stayed at a motel with a little dinner attached. I forget the chain. Did not get to see much other than where we could walk, had the expediter truck, so no driving.

Certainly hope that bear is dead and not just using your blanket..Almost looks like I can see him thinking.. Good photo of a kill.

We trap this 175 lbs 2 1/2 year old grizz female in my food plot and she's very much alive just on drugs. They are protected. I got to go with Idaho Fish and Game to do a work up on this bear and the fitting of the radio collar. This was in 09 we learn that this bear was killed by a Canada truck driver on Hwy 3 near Creston BC spring of 2012. The bear was ID by it's ear tag.

No kidding,,Thats kewl as H--.. I just assumed it was dead but was weary of the look in his eyes. Never been bear hunting but walked up on one while ducking hunting a few years ago, And believe me, I proved man can walk on water that day :)

When we hunt with our bows we carry our hand guns mine is a .41 Mag loaded with hot loads to hit as hard as a .44 mag at 50 yards.

And Now a message from your friends at P.E.T.A. where we belive in, People Eating Tasty Animals. Roasted, Broiled, BBQ, or my favorite Charcoal grilled with a baked potato vegitable and a cold beer. Hitting a bear with a truck? thats an expensive way to tenderize an animal.
