You of all people can see for yourself....from factory to factory being busy....for the most part...people working OT on Saturdays and Sundays....it is just not that bad....not good, but not bad.....

Just look at Load1's growth....

Growth is not always because of new business, it often comes from a transfer of business from one company to another. There have been glimmers of hope out there but real unemployment is super high, housing markets in most areas is still bad. Many factories are closed never to reopen, mom and pops all over the country have closed doors never to return. Over time it will get better, new factories and businesses will open. Right now we are employing less people every month than new ones entering the work force. We have one foot on the proverbial banana peel.

Corporate America will do its job..with or without the government...right now tho....government is just tossing up too many road blocks making it difficult....

You are aware that more of it is exported out do to the week US$ right?
we sale more & bring less. this is not growth. it's stupidity.
(pay attention to market reports (MXP), they do not keep up with our devalued currency.)

Exactly.....there is a middle road.....:)

Nope, 'middle of the road', means few convictions and nothing accomplished. It takes fire and passion to create what is needed.

It is actually an easy fix to turn things around. It takes someone who believes in the Power of the People, small government and freedom to do it. That candidate does not exist. That fix would create NO new government agency and cost nothing.

Can anyone guess the two things needed to do this? (hint: it makes no difference who is in office. Obama could do this as easily as anyone)

Unemployment continues high and grossly under reported.
That's what I don't understand. Even conservative commentators report the generally accepted unemployment rate of 8.-something, but they know that U-6, which is almost double, is the genuine unemployment rate, the one that kicks us in the nads every day. Why don't they refuse to report the false figure and keep mentioning the genuine figure?

Simple. When those useless jackweeds get in, accomplish nothing, they will have to use the lower figures to cover their stupidity.

considering the U6 was pretty close to 18 at one time...that is a drop.....

The only reason it lower is because they quit counting those that have run out of their umemployment payments beyond all extentions and the dont count those t
he drop out of the system for reasons like, they are working under the table...so they have quit reporting....

Our current occupants in the W.H. still think we are in a recession.

We are suppose to be giddy about 80,000 jobs. This is the NEW normal.

Just think tho....I don't support Obama currently, but if he didn't bailout Govt Motors we'd all be sitting at home.

not true.
i'd betchy'ha most Expediters are pretty darn good in controlling their own destinations, and would've been doing just fine by now.
how often do we see an failed Expediters going on welfare ?,
they don't, they find their way back to the workforce or other business ownerships.
bailing out Gov. Motor was a ripping off john to pay-off the unions.
if that kind of money would've been purred into the small business privet sector, we would've get accustomed to WAY more then 80,000 new jobs creations.
