Back somewhere around Y2K, Ford had a prototype cargo van for expedite that never went to production. Am I warm?

Here is the answer...

The FIRST and ONLY OEM Expediter EVER built was a 2002 Sterling that was displayed at the Great American Truck Show in November 2002.

The truck had all the bells and whistles you could imagine. Sterling got cold feet and killed the roll out.

What happened to the prototype? Enquiring minds want to know.


Also what kinds of bells and whistles did it have? I have a pretty wild imagination.

Doggie,

I believe it was later sold to a Roberts Express contractor....I think the last I hear it was not well taken care of and fell into disrepair.

I was totally disappointed when they abandoned the project. :cool:
