Soooo ... I take it you guys will be supporting Joe Walsh, Todd Akin or Richard Mourdock for Prez in 2016 then ?

Good luck with that ...

Said nothing about liking him or not. Simply what I think could keep him from getting the republican nomination.

Even sugesting the fantasy of the republicrats chosing a strong canadate made me have to check if this site has a XXX rating.
Lets face it the repubs will continue to nominate the weakest canadates. I like Christie for his attitude but he wont be presidental material so long as he is a free thinker and not a meat puppet.

We need a third party member that dosent wear tin foil hats. Ron Paul was O.K. but didnt seem to have much backbone and let the World Government cat out of the bag too soon sealing his demise . Maby Christie as an independent he will stand a reasonable chance.

The intersection is not 90 degrees right or left.....it's a parallel highway at best, either direction.

What has changed for good (considering the general populace) in the past 100 years? It will be a choice of tweedle dee or twittle dumb, and on with TBS (the big show). Can someone tell me the difference between R and D, and what any of them do for YOU.

Let me preface this with saying, "I neither like nor dislike Chris Christie".

With that being said. I am curious, is the above quote your opinion? If so, are you able to tell me why you think he's not conservative enough?

I offer no opinion on these things other than they would be used to cause him primary problems.

Gun control
The NRA
Immigration
Sandy Hook funding
Civil unions
Global warming
His size
Cheri likes him :)

Like all things in politics these items require personal investigation when brought up in a primary. We know however many people only read headlines, qoutes or partisan blogs and never bother to dig deeper.

I am curious why you even ask seems like you stay informed about politics.

Considering the ClownFest that was the last Primary, I'd say Christie might have a better than average chance at this point.

I know a little about the guy but like you said, I haven't delved into his opinions or thoughts on the list above. You've listed your concerns but can you let us know what his opinion is on each of those on your list? BTW, no need to go into his size or that Cheri likes him.

Also, I am going to assume that you meant Hurricane Sandy Relief and not Sandy Hook, the Connecticut Shooting.

That is why I asked you the question, since you said, "If he was more Conservative maybe". Do you think he isn't Conservative enough or is that just your opinion of how he will be perceived during the primaries?

Just pickin' your brain bro. Don't get all paranoid and all.

None of it has anything to do about my opinion I have none at this time. Those are simply things that have already been said would hurt him with the base. Cant even say at this time if any of them concern me or not they could all be things taken out of context and twisted around. Your correct about Sandy.

If you wish to learn more about them Google is your friend. Honestly for me its way too soon to put much effort out on potential candidates so much can change.

I found humor in the Cheri comment and I feel that she would as well. :)

Unfortunately, his size and appearance would be a factor as well as his perceived health. Pretty people like Mitt Romney and his spray tan poll more favorable.

Just my opinions.

I'm glad you did and I hope it didn't come across as disparaging. I totally respect Cheri and her commentary here in the Soapbox. I only mentioned Cheri and Gov. Christie's weight because I thought it was obvious that one, Cheri likes him and two, his weight and health are obvious issues(they aren't with me btw). Other than that, I was hoping to get more on Xiggi's comment, "If he was more conservative maybe".

Aint that the unfortunate truth?

Just my opinions.

In which I respect as well.

I find Christie to come across as hostile, emotionally fragile and going out of his way to annoy conservatives. He's overcompensating for some issue.

Christie is a bonafide liberal on social and cultural concerns. Since the current Republican Party establishment no longer wishes to pursue conservative principles, maybe Christie has a chance. For sure, the liberal media love him. I would never entertain the thought of voting for Christie. Not my cup of tea. Hillary Clinton would be the conservative in a run against Christie. There is positively no way Christie is in good health..

Substitute "Obama" for "Christe" and it works the same.

As a mod do you not think you should let a thread stay on track, and not always steer it to Obama?
If not, fine, but be prepared for a lot of posts about In N Out Burger.

I hear that a younger woman just inherited that chain. I never found them to be all that special anyway. White Castle is WAY better!

That is my impression of him as well. I couldn't vote for him either. He didn't want to sign with the other states on the Obamacare lawsuit. Wouldn't have taken much for him to get involved either. I thought his over the top, slobbering affection for Obama after the hurricane was the final straw. I'm not saying he shouldn't have been thankful for the government help, but it was a BIT much.
