WOW is there any place that it isnt snowing where is everyone anyone else snowed in I am in Knoxville TN been sitting since last wedsday now that there should be some freight snow storm hits

Well, I have a guy stuck in Atlanta, funny thing about it, is he has a problem with the starter on his truck, and is on a load, so he tries to not shut the truck off. So anyway, coming down I-75 a car spun out infront of him, and he locked up the brakes, and stalled. He couldnt restart the truck. Mind you this is in 4 in. of snow, on the road. So finally a state trooper comes out and gets on the phone with me, and tells me that Ga. DOT cut costs on salt trucks and plow trucks and laid mostly everyone off, and got rid of most of the equipment because it hasnt snowed in years. He said even he didnt have snow chains. The state trooper was worried about being able to get back to the station. Funny lol. So what about global warming? But yeah I hear everything south of I-40 down to birmingham and atl is snowed about 4 to 5 in. and nobody was prepared. North of I-40 snowed too, but only accumulated about an inch. Everywhere else, i dunno.

the Weather Channel is showing footing of "thunder snow". That is really weird to see. I have only ever seen it twice. Once while I was in the woods, deer hunting. The entire area just lit up with an erie blue color. It seemed to come from everywhere. I beat feet to my pick up truck. The other time I got stuck at Ft. Meade. I was at work when the storm hit. We did a 36 hour shift. No one was able to get in for that long. Same blue color.
it also shows you will going thru the middle of the storm or just after...drive safe, drive smart

We don't pick up till late afternoon, that will help some. Jan is going to drive the first few hundred miles. I will take over when we get further south. If it gets too bad, we will stop. We will not push it. It is just not worth it.Hightech_Hobo

Sitting in Alpharetta, GA....4 inches on the ground, Freezing rain still falling as I expect it will be for some time.

the next one is in kansas now moving across i70 and pushing east northeast.suppose to start snowing here in central il. after 1800 and throughout tues. 3-6" expected with some wind then colder.

Just outside Columbia SC. Snow and Sleet falling. About 2-3 inch's on the ground. Isn't it fun?
It could be worse, Donner Pass, 4th of July Pass, Cabbage Pass, North Powder, this is a breeze if you can keep the people out of your way.

I would be!! Just ain't nuthin better than a mess of hand sized Red Ears taken out of cold water!!! MMMMMM, pan fried, home made coleslaw, hushpuppies and ice cold beer!! Man, I need to get home and fish!
