This is the link for an in expensive tool to keep us from having to get out and bang on the windshield wipers in the winter. I posted this once before to negative response but am going to try it again. We have had ours about a month and have just run in the rain. The plastic strip does not interfere with visibility and you don't even notice it. When the windshield wipers go over the strip there is no noise and no noticeable straining of the wiper. I also don't believe it is going to ruin the blade.

I am short and I drive at night and I do not like in the winter to pull off on an off ramp pray I am not going to get stuck then open my door stand on the steps and on each side of the truck and whack the windshield wipers. I feel as if this little very inexpensive object will keep me from having to do all of the above it is worth a fortune.

All that matters is you are satisfied with it. If it works the way you want it to work for you then it's great. Don't worry about what anyone else says about it.

Linda, please let us know how it works with the snow and ice that will be here soon.

I have a set and, since installing them on my van, I have not had any ice or slush buildup. They are quiet and don't interupt the smooth wiper operation. I hope they work as well in the winter as they have this past month. I also installed a $32 set of Michelin wipers that hug the windshield well and don't have the usual spring mechanism. So far, so good.

I'd be interested to see how these work for you. If they will keep the ice from building up on the tips of the blades then they would well be worth it.

Linder, please keep us posted on these as we head into winter and icy windshields. I can't wait to hear how they work.

We have run in heavy rain and the wipers still work the same as always even though they go across the slush buster.

I am in my wildest dreams hoping that this winter that is all we see is rain! Ok I am in a dream world but when we do test them out I will let you know. I really hope this winter I don't have to pull over and clean of the wipers.

I decided to go ahead and order some even without Linda's "field test" LOL So, hopefully now we won't see any snow this winter. I can dream can't I?

Linda and Terry, what is the verdict on the Slush Busters? Do they work? Terry, are you satisfied with the Michelin wiper blades?

Best $12.00 dollars we have spent. I really should say 24.00 as the first time we put them on the truck Bob was not happy with how the wiper went across them so we had to buy another set. We will take these off when and if summer ever gets here but I will have another set on order for next winter. We liked them so much we ordered a set for each of our girls cars.

I am going to have to mention these to Jim, especially after our trip across Iowa last week. It seemed every few miles we had to stop and clean the ice off the wiper's and windshield.

I have to admit I was skeptical about these slush busters but now we would not be without them! They are the most amazing things!! We had a driver at truck stop recently ask us how we keep our windshield so clean in the snow. We showed him how it worked and he said last winter he stopped to bump the ice off his wiper blades and one of them broke - in the middle of a terrible snow storm no less!!

We recently escorted another truck on a run and the driver had to keep stopping and bumping his wipers where the snow was collecting but we never had to stop for that problem at all. This would be a great gift for anyone who lives or drives in snow and ice. It is THE answer!!

Thanks for the update. Slush Busters will be on my winterizing list for next year along with cricket recordings. I long for the call of red wing blackbirds in the morning. Soon, very soon!

Slush Busters during the winter and the Michelin wipers for year-roud use are my new preference. The wipers cling to the contour of the windshield better than any others I've used, including when I've used those spring gadgets. Their low profile with the Slush Busters have kept my view clear through many bad snow events.

Terry, are you running the Michelin Optimum blades? I just looked at a picture on-line. Looks like there are no points of articulation to ice up. Are they available at most auto parts stores?

Auto Zone doesn't carry them. Only place I've seen 'em is Target.

I shoulda said. I got the Michelin blades at Wal-Mart. The Slush Busters are an internet item.

Linda, is there a reason to take the SlushBusters off during the summer?

We also have them installed and to echo what others have said, they work! Now, I'm going to investigate these Michelin blades. Thanks Terry.
