Question we have a 05 business class, my bunk shocks are worn, will replacing the bunk shocks make the truck handle any better? I've already replaced my from aid rear shocks and still feel a wobble in the body and a lot of rocking when turning

and a lot of rocking

Well if the trucks a rocking...

If you are just getting the feeling that the cab itself is bouncing to much then replacing the sleeper shocks is a good idea and it will make the truck easier to handle because the driver gets jostled less. They are pretty cheap and easy to change so it would be a good investment especially if someone is sleeping while the truck is moving.

Its a straight truck with a sleeper, when we got it the factory shocks were still on it, I replaced the front and rear shocks along with the rear air ride control valve on the rear axl, but I've been getting a lot of cab/bunk rocking and its talking its toll on my body, I'm still looking at replacing the front springs as these are worn and you can hear them hitting the bottom of the cab

May be ur sleeper strut bushings are shot (side to side movement). Have someone rock it while viewing underneath. Mine went after 3 yrs and I had a second strut installed at AA Sleepers in Ft Wth, and had them tack a weld on the old to keep the bolt from rocking in the worn washers.

My bunk shocks are original w/ 800,000 mi.s on trk except for having to cut the skirts on the shocks shorter due to bottom of skirts hitting the sleeper suspension framing. This may be the spring to cab hit u are experiencing on the larger bounces. I didn't replace the shocks because they still dampened well and showed no leaks.

Lastly, Donvel.com out of Gladewater, TX has a patent on an inline valve that reduces the whiplash of air springs. I had them installed on my sleeper springs and rr suspension when I had Donvel install the fr suspension air springs some 600,000 mi.s ago and trk still rides great.

Check the cab bolts and body mounts it dosent take much looseness or worse, metal fatigue to make it feel like the cab is ready to roll off when you turn.

Cab bolts and body mounts, I'm guessing you are talking about the ones at the front base of the cab where the frame and cab come together?

If it is a Sterling/Ford, I can put money on the front cab mounts being worn out. They are known for this.It is a pad that rides on a perch mounted to the frame rail, you can see them from under the hood. The front mounts are a pivot point for the cab/sleeper.

Kenworth in Richfield, Ohio, and Fort Wayne, Ind has a thing in their shop called a vis-check system. They drive youre truck on this, and it actually simulates youre truck going down the raod, it rocks it, shakes it, and spins the wheels. If there is anything wrong, it will find it, including brake/bearing problems. It used to cost 90 bucks to have it done in 04, so it may of went up, but well worth the money spent, and can save you from spending money on things not needed.

Having a Frtlnr or Sterling with a Mercedes isn't like having a 450 SL with a Mercedes.
