Bob, other than bugs between the cab and bunk, was there serious drag in that area according to your fuel mileage?

If I'm stuck in a truck 3 weeks at a time with someone else, you're darned right I want a BIG bunk :)

There you go fleet owners. Give these folks a Tajh to camp in while on the road, and look what happens. "The roof is too low, the sleeping area is too small, yada, yada, yada". And they go away, anyway. I still maintain, if you wanna go camping, buy a Winnebago, and leave the trucking to us truckers.

You can't please everybody.
So you win some and lose some.

As opposed to STUCK in an office, or STUCK at home? I enjoy my job driving, I was saying I would make it as comfortable as possible. Don't read too much into a simple statement. When I'm away from my wife and baby for weeks at a time, sitting at a truckstop, yes... I'm STUCK in a truck!

yes, there was drag on that particular truck.

In response to the remark about giving drivers a huge sleeper and they still complain,

response: Some people are just not content with sleeping in a cigerrete box. I happen to be one of them.
Some things look better from the outside.

and the "leave the trucking to us truckers" remark...

Response: I'm not gonna comment too much.
I don't think I have to say much with 700,000 miles under my belt at 28 years of age thru 45 states and 2 Canadian provinces.
Most of which has been extensively covered, not just "driven thru".

Working in Nascar, I have seen configurations like the picture shown. His comments in regards to heat & cooling right on. Its different can't say its ugly but its not pretty either.

As for my personal opinion, I have an 84 Bentz some of you have the 96. I really think they have a very nice set up and well thought out design for a nice package. Have a friend who has the Alumbunk and he turned his bed lengthwise behind the drivers seat moved the closet up (shorty). Gave a very nice look to the sleeper and more room than mine.

I just like the duck and walk thru since I am only 5-9 170lbs it suites me fine. Can't have everything so make do and thats whats so fun out here is making do with what ya got.
